I know I recently posted about this on my Facebook page but there were a few things that I never mentioned.

I hear ‘HA! Fuck that!’ or a *Scoff* when I talk about what I am doing, 21 weeks of dieting, training 5 times a week, getting my steps in, doing cardio, having one take away from time to time (actually from time to time)… it is not for everyone. I am sure you have heard it when you have been trying something new too.

It is normally people asking for help or advice to get themselves in better shape and there are normally a few people around. But these people will tell me about some wild starvation or current trend method that they have discovered for losing fat. They are normally bonkers, and I can even see their faces almost shocked that they even said it out loud or even shrug and say, ‘well it is worth a try’.

Is it?

It is very normal for conversations at Weddings, Family meals, Celebrations etc, to shift to someone telling me that what I am doing is daft of nuts or mental.

I am still at the same party doing the same things everyone else is doing… drinking, partying, eating whatever… I just don’t do it at every chance it arises.

Conversations always seem to shift towards weight loss or fat loss and I can hear in people’s voices the sadness they feel towards themselves but they seem to believe that the idea of going in circles or staying in the same place is going to be better… or somehow make suddenly work.

Honestly, you will be blown away what drinking water, exercising or being active, sleeping 8hours, controlling your portions and eating veg will do to how you feel!

You will also be amazed at how well a calorie deficit works with losing fat.

It won’t be ‘easy peasy’ to keep doing it week in and week out, that is what is extreme about what I have done and in bodybuilding, but it is easier than cutting foods out, drinking veg, starting over again and again, trying to do more than you actually have time for or even enjoy doing… stick at it and the results will amaze you.

I don’t get the ‘fuck that’ about that… it will make your life easier.

Thanks for reading,

Thom
